Jon Huntsman said today he supports Willard Romney because President Obama promotes class warfare and Willard would not allow that to happen.
What’s wrong with class warfare - unless you are in the 1%?
We need to get back to the tax policies of the 50s and 60s where the vast majority of Americans had the disposable income and other resources to build a strong economy. Where we the federal resources to go to the moon and build the interstate highway system. Where it was a societal faux pas to not support your workers and ship jobs oversees.
To do this we need a war between the classes. The 99% need to take down the 1%. We need a president who is in favor of class warfare. There is nothing wrong with that.
This is a big deal!
Think about what this sign is saying, “Hey, 1%, we’ll do anything we want and you can’t stop us.”
We’ll start seeing more of these public displays of “disobedience” across the country over the next few weeks. It shows the 1% that ultimately they are powerless since the 99% controls everything they have - gasoline, elevators, trash pick-up, food. Money has no intrinsic value, it’s the good money allows you to buy that gives it value.
If there is a class war, it’s going to be very one-sided and very quick.
Class warfare: Bring it on.
“We the People … Occupy Boston”
Sign put up next to the highway into Boston by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Local 103
This is the most succinct summary of what needs to be done to fix this country’s inequities I have seen. To add anything else would dilute the message and the task.
1. Corporations are not persons.
2. Money is not speech
3. Tax Financial Transactions
4. Tax all income as ordinary income
5. Declare a moratorium on foreclosures
The Wall Street occupiers have taken a stand against monied democracy and corporate power. We would do well to join them. Make your voices heard. And demand new rules that will honor the 99% and restore democracy to the nation.
Hmmmm so it’s working, you say?
Holy Crap, it’s finally on CNN! And it’s breaking news of a “Major rally”.
It is growing my friends. The 99% are coming for theirs.
Class Warfare: Bring it on.
CNN sky photo of labor-student march with #OccupyWallStreet today — MASSIVE!
You are the 1% for now. We’ll fix that.
Welcome to a full-blown class war folks.
Real Populism vs. Corporate PR
There is one not so obvious or immediately noticeable difference between the Occupy Wall Street protests and your average Tea Party protest. Sure, the crowds seem to be younger, signs featuring Obama as Hitler are entirely absent, and there aren’t many people who are dressed like Uncle Sam sneezed stars and stripes all over them. There are no guns or demands to see the president’s birth certificate. But the less obvious difference is in buses. While the Tea Party protests always feature big buses covered with flags and eagles, buses at the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations are used to haul the protesters to jail.
I bring this up because teapartiers like to pretend they’re running their own show. That their protests are grassroots and their organizations are of their own construction. But those buses carting them around from protest to protest didn’t just appear out of nowhere. Someone paid for them, someone gave them their ultra-patriotic paint jobs, someone’s buying all the gas. All that takes funding and, as much as the ‘baggers like to pretend they’re an independent movement, they’re all bought and paid for — and then moved from square to square like pawns on a chessboard.
Think Progress - Memo To The Media: It’s Not ‘Anti-Capitalist’ To Protest An Industry That Was Saved By Trillions Of...
It’s not anti-capitalism. IT’S FAIR CAPITALISM!!! How can someone follow the occupywallstreet movement and not figure that out… unless… hmmm… unless someone is deliberately obfuscating.
But that would never happen. Our media are the best and brightest… and richest. Never happen, I tell you.

As the protests continue to grow, the media is increasingly taking notice. Yet many of these media outlets are insisting on referring to the protests as “anti-capitalist.” Here are just a few examples:
– The Washington Post: The leading paper wrote today that “New York’s budding anti-capitalism protest movement began last month with a vague sense of grievance over the widening gap between the rich and poor in America.” [10/3/11]
– Fox News: “Anti-Capitalist Protests Spread Across America” [10/3/11]
– The New York Daily News: In a photo slideshow published last week, the paper referred to the demonstrators as “anti-capitalist protesters” who were targeting “corporate greed.” [9/30/11]
– Mediaite: Mediaite referred to the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations as “vaguely left-wing, anti-capitalist protesters.” [10/01/11]
This morning, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) advanced this meme. During an appearance on C-SPAN, West was asked about the protests. The congressman responded that it was wrong for the protesters to be saying they “hate capitalism” and that the United States would be “lost” without faith in the free market. Watch it:

Is this Occupy Wall Street thing a big deal? Is this going to turn into a personal safety problem?
The answer to both questions is probably yes unless real change starts happening in the next month or so.
The Occupy Wall Street movement really needs to expand to Occupy Suburban Connecticut and Occupy 5th Avenue and Occupy Central Park West. It probably should also add OccupyTheHouseFinancialServicesCommitteeMembers’Driveways to the list of Occupy sites.
Over the past three weeks I have seen repeated statements from the media, celebutards and others that reason they don’t cover the occupywallstreet demonstrations is because there is no coherent theme and there is no set leadership.
Are they incapable of cognitive function? How could you not be even moderately informed and not know that they are protesting against the 1% of citizens who control 50% of all the wealth in the US. The 1% who have over the last 30 years rigged the financial system so they get all the benefit and the other 99% take all the risks. The 1% of the population who have destroyed the US and world economies in the last 5 years. The 1% of the US population that only cares about themselves and not the society upon whose back they became the top 1%.
To not see this, is to either be so woefully ignorant as to not deserve to in the media or a position of authority or to be deliberately misleading the public either because you are part of the 1% (I’m looking at you CNN, NBC, CBS and ABC News anchors and producers) or you are supplicating to your overlords in the 1% for whatever favor they might rain upon you (I’m talking to you PBS and NYPD).
